CASCADE Online guarantees direct access to the settlement platform of Clearstream Banking Frankfurt and allows customers to perform real-time queries on the whole life cycle of a transaction. CASCADE Online is accessible via two interfaces - CASCADE-Host and CASCADE-PC.

CASCADE-Host is a proven online interface in German based on an IBM 3270 emulation for the manual input of instructions, matching and settlement services as well as arrangements for physical securities and cash processing for the settlement of both stock exchange and OTC transactions.

CASCADE-PC is a graphical user interface, which is available in English and German. It is attached to the original 3270 interface. Data is translated from the CASCADE-Host version into a graphical format.

Both CASCADE-Host and CASCADE-PC can be used either alone or in combination with any of the other connectivity channels offered by Clearstream Banking Frankfurt.

Customer benefits

  • Real-time access to information, instruction life cycle status and Central Bank (Deutsche Bundesbank) cash balances
  • Later instruction deadlines
  • Short processing times
  • Four eyes principle instruction processing

CBF File Service provides users access to data that is no longer available on CASCADE as it is aged more than 8 weeks. The monthly movement report and custody account ledgers ease the research required to track market compensations and retrieve historical data. Data is stored in text format.

CA Spool allows reports to be sent directly from the CASCADE mainframe to the dedicated printer in your organisation. It requires a leased line.
